Senior Portfolio Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Portfolio Accountant to lead property accounting, financial reporting, team supervision, and quality control while managing a portfolio of properties. This role handles general ledger, CAM reconciliations, lease compliance, tax and audit workpapers, bank reconciliations, and lender reporting, ensuring accurate, timely financial deliverables and strong coordination with U.S.-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams.


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Supervise and mentor a team of Portfolio Accountants, ensuring accuracy, quality control, and timely delivery of outputs
  • Review and approve quarterly operating statements, variance analysis, bank reconciliations, and CAM reconciliations
  • Enforce standardized reporting processes, deadlines, and accounting policies across the team
  • Act as the primary escalation point for accounting issues, discrepancies, and exceptions
  • Prepare and review financial reports, general ledger entries, and adjusting journal entries for assigned portfolio
  • Perform variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for financial fluctuations
  • Manage intercompany billings, reimbursements, and allocations
  • Prepare tax and audit workpaper packages, including trial balances, schedules, and reconciliations
  • Support external auditors and tax accountants with documentation and financial data requests
  • Handle regulatory filings, including preparation of RPIE and TC201 reports and supporting documents
  • Perform CAM reconciliations, lease escalation calculations, and tenant billing adjustments in accordance with lease terms
  • Review lease abstracts and ensure accurate application of real estate taxes, operating expenses, and escalation clauses
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items promptly
  • Prepare loan covenant reports and coordinate with lenders, legal teams, and external partners
  • Maintain accurate property financial records, internal data, and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and reporting issues
  • Participate in process improvements, reporting optimization, and system enhancements


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 to 4 years in U.S. real estate or property accounting
  • At least 2 to 4 years of supervisory or team lead experience managing accounting teams
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, and variance analysis
  • Proven experience preparing tax and audit workpaper packages for external stakeholders
  • Extensive experience in CAM reconciliations, lease accounting, and property-level financial reporting
  • Experience handling bank reconciliations, intercompany transactions, and lender reporting requirements
  • Experience using property accounting systems such as Yardi Voyager or similar ERP platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling
  • Experience working with U.S.-based clients, auditors, and remote teams
  • Experience managing offshore or shared services accounting teams is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality financial reporting standards
  • Excellent English communication skills for coordinating with U.S.-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and review team outputs effectively while managing multiple priorities
