Senior Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to own core financial accounting, system administration, and month‑end close activities across multiple entities. This role focuses on general ledger management, high‑volume journal processing, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, tax and statutory compliance, Xero administration, and process improvement, while supporting management reporting, audit deliverables, and enhanced financial visibility through reporting and analytics.


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Act as Xero Administrator, including user access management, configurations, and system governance
  • Serve as Bank Administrator and Card Administrator, ensuring appropriate access controls and security
  • Manage and approve vendor and employee bank detail changes in line with internal controls
  • Monitor and manage credit matching and allocations within Xero
  • Maintain and regularly update the cash flow forecast to reflect current business activity
  • Liaise with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and internal stakeholders to ensure forecast accuracy
  • Proactively identify cash flow risks, variances, and trends
  • Manage and review BAS and IAS preparation, lodgement, and payments
  • Monitor ATO lodgements and statutory payments, ensuring compliance with filing deadlines
  • Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and fixed asset accounting
  • Prepare and review month‑end management reporting packages
  • Improve the quality, governance, and reviewability of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Update and maintain technical accounting papers covering financial and tax matters
  • Support statutory reportingaudit deliverables, and compliance obligations across entities
  • Improve documentation and task management for month‑end accounting processes
  • Document and maintain non‑month‑end accounting workflows to support business continuity
  • Review existing accounting processes and identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and control improvements
  • Review and enhance existing Power BI reports to ensure accuracy, usability, and relevance
  • Design and implement new Power BI reports to improve financial visibility and decision‑making
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure financial reporting aligns with operational and strategic needs
  • Perform ad‑hoc finance tasks and projects as required by the Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer


Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in AccountingFinance, or a related discipline
  • 5+ years of solid financial accounting experience
  • Proven ownership of month‑end closejournal processing, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Strong expertise in high‑volume journal entry processing (approximately 150–200 journals per month)
  • Demonstrated success closing books monthly, quarterly, and annually
  • Ability to independently manage general ledger accountingreconciliations, and closing adjustments within tight close timelines
  • Experience achieving month‑end close within less than two weeks
  • Hands‑on experience with accounting ERP systemsXero preferred but not required
  • Exposure to ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or similar systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced‑level assessment required prior to endorsement)
  • Experience implementing process improvement initiatives within accounting functions
  • Ability to evaluate workflows and proactively improve close timelines, controls, and efficiency
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and problem‑solving skills
  • Clear and professional written and verbal English communication skills
  • Confidence working independently while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders
