Data Import Specialist

We are looking for a Data Import Specialist to manage data acquisition, normalization, validation, reconciliation, and reporting processes across multiple vendor data sources. The role is responsible for handling large datasets, maintaining Microsoft Access databases, monitoring data feed accuracy, troubleshooting import issues, processing remittance feeds, and ensuring accurate and timely delivery of data into business systems while supporting reporting and database optimization initiatives.


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Download, organize, and manage data files received from multiple vendor portals.
  • Normalize, transform, and process data using Microsoft Access databases and established import procedures.
  • Load, validate, and maintain data files within business systems while ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and verify data integrity throughout the import and validation process.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data import errors, data breaks, validation issues, and processing exceptions.
  • Initiate, manage, and monitor remittance feed processing with external vendors.
  • Perform weekly reconciliation of data feeds and investigate discrepancies.
  • Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Monitor vendor data feeds to ensure consistency, completeness, and compliance with established standards.
  • Design and develop custom Microsoft Access databases to support specialized or complex data feeds.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance Microsoft Access databases, data processing workflows, and related applications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve data-related issues and improve data quality.
  • Document processes, findings, and resolutions to support operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.


Who are we looking for?

  • Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, or ongoing studies in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Data Import Specialist, Data Analyst, Data Processing Specialist, Database Administrator, Data Operations Specialist, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience handling and managing large datasets with a strong focus on data quality and accuracy.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, data validation, filtering, sorting, and reporting. VLOOKUP experience is required and non-negotiable.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Access databases, including database creation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and data processing.
  • Experience working with SQL databases, database queries, and data management processes.
  • Strong understanding of data import, validation, reconciliation, normalization, and data transformation procedures.
  • Experience supporting vendor data feeds, financial data processing, remittance processing, or reconciliation activities is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of Visual Basic for Applications, macro development, or automation scripting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
