We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to lead financial operations for construction and development projects. This role will manage job cost accounting, oversee monthly closes, and ensure accurate and timely reporting. You’ll work closely with project managers and leadership to maintain budget accuracy, uphold internal controls, and drive continuous process improvements.

What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Lead accounting functions for active construction and real estate development projects

  • Oversee job costing, budget forecasting, and actuals tracking

  • Manage vendor invoicing, lien waivers, draw requests, and payment applications

  • Handle the month-end close process with reconciliations and accruals

  • Collaborate on budget oversight, change orders, and cost-to-complete reviews

  • Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with reporting standards

  • Prepare financial reports for executive leadership and project stakeholders

  • Support audits, tax filings, and communication with external financial partners

  • Mentor junior accounting staff and enhance team efficiency

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CMA preferred)

  • 5+ years in accounting, including 2+ in construction or real estate development

  • Expertise in job costing, GAAP, and construction-specific accounting practices

  • Familiarity with Acumatica, Procore, QuickBooks, or similar systems

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP platforms

  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized and adaptable in fast-paced environments
