Permitting Coordinator

We are looking for a Permitting Coordinator to oversee permit applications for water heater, electrical, and HVAC projects. You’ll handle documentation, coordinate inspections, and maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effectively, and ensures projects move smoothly from submission to final approval. 


What is your mission? 

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Prepare, submit, and manage permit applications across multiple cities and jurisdictions.
  • Track the status of applications, inspections, and final approvals to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate inspection schedules with customers, technicians, and local inspectors.
  • Maintain accurate permit records in databases and project management tools.
  • Review inspection results, resolve failed inspections, and coordinate re-inspections.
  • File required documentation such as installation photos, drawings, and certificates.
  • Communicate with municipal permitting staff, inspectors, and utilities.
  • Monitor updates in local permitting codes, fees, or procedures.
  • Support field and office teams with permitting and compliance inquiries.
  • Assist accounting and compliance teams with permit-related invoices and records.


Who are we looking for?

  • College graduate, preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in permitting, construction administration, or trade coordination (HVAC, plumbing, or electrical preferred).
  • Working knowledge of building, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical codes is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple jurisdictions and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills (verbal and written).
  • Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and compliance-focused.
