FP&A Senior Analyst (Consumer Packed Goods)

​We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Financial Analyst focused on FP&A who will be a key strategic partner to leadership, playing a critical role in driving profitable growth across the team's e-commerce and marketplace channels. This role is ideal for a highly analytical FP&A professional with deep financial fundamentals who thrives in consumer-facing, data-rich environments.

What is your mission?

Strategic FP&A & Business Partnering

  • Lead the annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and growth objectives.
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional leaders in Marketing, Growth, Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to senior leadership on profitability, cost structure, investment tradeoffs, and growth opportunities.

 

E-Commerce & Marketplace Financial Analytics

  • Own and analyze key e-commerce and marketplace metrics, including:

o   Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)

o   Lifetime Value (LTV)

o   Average Order Value (AOV)

o   Return on Ad Spend (ROAS)

o   Total Advertising Cost of Sales (TACOS)

o   Cohort and channel-level profitability

  • Build and refine models to evaluate unit economics, marketing efficiency, and channel scalability.
  • Develop metrics and dashboards to measure cost efficiency and identify areas of improvement supported by rigorous financial analysis.

 

Financial Reporting & Performance Management

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analysis, KPI tracking, and management reporting.
  • Support month-end close activities and annual audit processes in partnership with Accounting.
  • Monitor and analyze gross margin drivers, operating expenses, working capital, and cash flow.

 

Tools, Systems & Process Improvement

  • Leverage advanced Excel-based modeling and BI/query tools to deliver insights.
  • Utilize (or quickly learn) DataRails for planning, consolidation, and reporting; prior direct experience is a plus but not required.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting accuracy, and analytical sophistication.

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • ​​5+ years of progressive FP&A or financial analysis experience, with strong ownership of planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Demonstrated depth of FP&A expertise, including financial modeling, scenario analysis, and executive-level reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems, BI tools, and financial reporting platforms.
  • Strong ability to analyze complex data sets and convert insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using DataRails Software Solution is a huge plus or Strong Excel knowledge and business intelligence/query knowledge
  • Should be able to learn the way Datarails queries data, as it's strongly Excel-based.
  • Prior FP&A experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies is strongly preferred to ensure fluency in business metrics and reduce training time
